Hi all , I have a few questions / suggestions/ideas....

First of all, both OSG and PLIB version seem to use Textures.high by
default , could that be an option instead?
OSG loads much slower than plib , and after loading with
--log-level=info , I see the OSG version loads duplicate textures from
both Textures and Textures.high directories. Renaming the Texture.high
directory cut the loading time in half...
Is it possible to prevent the generic autopilot,2d panels and any
unneccesary instruments from being loaded/initialized? I see
instrument.xml files in several folders , does this prevent unnamed
instruments from being initialized ?
I imagine the scenery file format was designed for loading speed , but
considering the difficulty everyone has with editing scenery ,would it
be feasible to import the binary file (say into Blender), and work
directly on the vertices ? This is probably my biggest beef with ALL
flightsims... and FGFS never ever did compile successfully for me .
A lot of questions , I know , but the source code is still pretty
difficult to follow....
Cheers,
Syd
