Hi All, Wind shear cause by METAR updates is a common problem in FG, especially around the San Francisco bay, where there are a large number of airports with METAR, and quite localized weather conditions.
As a first attempt to solve this, I've made some simple changes to the environment manager to apply the METAR changes more slowly, available here: http://www.nanjika.co.uk/flightgear/Environment.diff This doesn't affect the cloud layers (yet), as the METAR data is written straight to the cloud layers, rather than via a config tree. Does anyone have any insight into why this might be? Comments very welcome. -Stuart ___________________________________________________________ Yahoo! Answers - Got a question?
