You should post a photo of what you are trying to do for the MFD, 
perhaps we can give you a few hints.
But anyway we need a little 'animation' to draw text in 3D. We allready 
have the translate/rotate animation to set the text position, we 'just' 
need to call the plib/osg draw text function. This would finally allows 
to draw non static data on 3d instrument or even in the 3d view (point 
of interest, mp callsigns, etc).
