Of course we're by no means ditching the 737 (or any other model), this is only a "snapshot" of what's available in FG. IMO it would be nice if we could have maintain a bit of variation in base package aircraft between releases to keep things fresh and to introduce people to the rest of the models available. The proposed list does that pretty well, I think.
