If you have a look here: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Neat_Stuff You'll find we've already tried it - unfortunately the scenery generation tools aren't up to handling that amount of detail yet (you'll see some UV errors in those screenshots). The tools are being worked on though, so hopefully we'll see some very good scenery soon.
