Rather than go through an intermediate phase where we have to upgrade our plib before we then drop it entirely, as bits of it are moved into FG cvs, wouldn't it be better just to go straight into integrating the bits that FG needs? It would mean bringing the integration work forward but that would be offset against the work that would be needed to switch to plib 1.8.5. Or have I misunderstood the eventual intention?
