I'm having major problems getting FG CVS to work with Ubuntu 9.10 and Pulseaudio.
I have the standard alsa, pulseaudio from Ubuntu. I have installed the latest openal-soft, just to be sure. For the following contents of ~/.alsoftrc here are the results I get... drivers=pulse - very unreliable to start (generally hangs at the splash screen and doesn't generate an entry in the PA volume control) at all, I think it's managed to connect twice. drivers=alsa - it (through alsa) connects ok to the pulse server, but the connection (and sound) rapidly disconnects and reconnects producing a rapid stuttering, watching the PA volume control the fgfs entry literally appears and disappears rapidly, the frequency of this disconnect-reconnect also changes. Like it's playing a buffer of say 1/8 a second, disconnecting, reconnecting, filling the buffer, playing, etc. So, does anybody have the current CVS working well with pulse+alsa or pulse on it's own? -- James ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
