Hi,

just to let you know that I bought a pair of USB CH pedals that works on Windblows and
that do not work on Linux SuSE 8.0 (kernel 2.4.18-55). I found a hack from David
Meggison on joydev.c that handles the new type of pedals. The fix on hid-core is
useless for me, the joydev.c hack is sufficient to make the rudder pedals to be
recognised by jstest /dev/js0. I would like to notify the FlightGear users of this
modification. Anyone has any idea who is in charge of those fixes. Since I have a very
fresh kernel form SuSE, and that SuSE Prag is working on joysticks that we may not
have a real fix soon.

Also, I am VERY confused about the calibration of the FlightGear joystick. Up to now,
I used the ``Vax'' editor to modify .fgfsrc until my joystick responded properly. This
is a bit empirical.

The command fgfsjs is a bit confusing.

Alos, please note that with the CVS version my frame rate seems to have dwindled from
110 fps to 60 fps. I use a NVidia Geforce 3 with their freshest drivers.

JJM
