Hi Larry,
I think what you're seeing is the panel being placed on top of the 3D
cockpit. What aircraft (c172p, c128, c310) are you seeing this on?
Try using "c" to toggle the 3-D cockpit off. You should then be able to
enable the 2D panels of HUDs.
