We had a similar looking problem in one of the v0.9.9 prereleases, but
this should have been fixed in the final v0.9.9 release. Make sure you
have the final v0.9.9 version of the base package.

I compiled version 0.9.9 of FlightGear on debian sarge without any problems.
Also installed the new plib-version aud SimGear-0.3.9.
When I try to run fgfs, it exits with following message:
