When installing Flight Gear I got the below error.

Do tell me wht are the libraries and packages that should be installed
for further successful completion of FG installation.Mention also the
paths where the libraries need to be installed.

The freeglut package needs to be installed.
# grep -r glutInitDisplayMode /usr/include/GL/
/usr/include/GL/freeglut_ext.h: * New tokens for glutInitDisplayMode.
/usr/include/GL/freeglut_std.h:FGAPI void FGAPIENTRY
glutInitDisplayMode( unsigned int displayMode );
