I will third that. I have a 6600LE (low end nVidia 6600) and FG runs great on 
my Linux box.  I can turn on everything other than enhanced runway lighting 
and shadows and still have OK frame rates on a 1600x1200 display full screen 
(30 to 40 FPS).  I had a 6500 for a while and it was marginal with about 1/3 
the frame rate as the 6600LE with the same settings.  You also need to 
consider how high of a resolution you will be running.  A 6500 or a 6200 
would probably be fine at 1024x768 with lower detail settings but if you are 
gong to be running at higher resolutions then consider getting a little 
higher end card.   Almost all of the mid to high end cards come with at least 
128 MB on board RAM and many are 256 or more.
