Hi David,
Are you familiar with TerraGear? to get your improved DAT file to a BTG 
format that you can use in FGFS you need to "compile" it using Terragear. 
Also export the Beacons to Flightgear (on the file menu) to produce the STG 
file.

Otherwise you have to submit the file to Robin...wiat for a new APT file and 
the a new btg scenery file update....

No easy answer, sorry mate,
