My brother in law is a commercial pilot. He and I got to talking about
flight simulators and to make a long story short I promised him a
Flightgear "appliance" - essentially a computer that boots to Flightgear
and runs a simulation of a 787.

Any suggestions on hardware? This box will interface with a flat panel
TV, so it must be capable of driving HDMI at full resolution. It will
also be linux based so I can maintain it remotely.

I'm looking for the smallest footprint, both power and size, that can run FG.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year,
but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If
I quit, however, it lasts forever.
