I work for a rather large hosting company that pushes a GigaBit per second easily, the problem is, my graphs that are generated are showing that i'm only pushing 5 Mbp/s, which I know is wrong. I think i've tracked the issue down to what flow-capture is actually capturing. I'd ideally like to have flow-capture put everything under the sun into the generated flow files, being that I am some what new to this area, i am completely lost, i've tried calling flow-capture two different ways:
flow-capture -w /var/netflow/ft 0/0/9996 -S5 -V5 -E1G -n 287 -N 0
and
flow-capture -w /var/netflow/ft 0/0/9996 -S5 -V5 -E1G -n 287 -N 0 -f t1
the problem is, when I run "flow-print -f 24 < ft-v05.2005-01-15.201500-0800" I get:
flow-print: Flow record missing required field for format.
I'm pulling my flow data from a catalyst 6500 if that helps any. Thank you in advance for any help you might be.
