Stan, One thing I wondered is; How capable is the PC that you are using as your terminal? Even if it's a bit of an old clunker, I'd guess it would still compile and run fltk-1.1.x OK? That would at least give you a "second opinion" when you come up against these oddities that *might* be due to your more unusual setup?
