S U C C E S S ! ! !

Don't be sorry... you and everyone else who offered suggestions ultimately led
to my success at getting it all to work. The bottom line, it seems, was
renaming every "make.exe" file on my system to be sure they weren't conflicting
with the configure. It turns out... they were. Once I did that, every thing
went fine, including all the test programs. It even copied the include and
library files to a directory in msys.

My thanks to all... I'm impressed.

BTW... I obviously haven't had time to get into it yet, but, is there a theme
package so I can make the apps look more Windows XP like?

Thanks again... Gary
