Even though these are not stated requirements/policy, I recently went
through a lot of hassle for the graduation of another project (Sqoop).
Given this experience, I feel that it is not worth taking a risk on
this issue. I intend to sign up as a release manager for the next
release and drive it at the earliest for this purpose.
