30 ON A COMPANY BUS TO THE CITY
using surplus funds, it seemed witty
to take employees to the city
we were glad for the ride,
for we got caught in the tide
of alcohol and party mix
Judy was the best
she had jello shots, she had a whole chest
and Jim with his jokes, and Rich with his beer
and I shared my nips, we had nothing to fear
we would all be three sheets to the wind.
We stopped at the bar at the theater,
it was cool, but then it got weider,
as a guy whispered in my ear
"Hey sexy", said he
"that girl that you see,
is checking out your action."
I think that I scared him a little,
I noticed a bit of spittle
when I said plain as day,
"maybe I should go that way!
my experience with guys it just sucks!"
Then we headed to the show
to Blue Man Group we did go
its got black lights, tubes, and humor
and I'm sure you've heard the rumor
that the drumming is very well done
its more than just a show,
I really think you must know,
that the issue of conformity and
"What is Art?"
was introduced like Andy Kaufman and Sartre
and a profound effect it did make
as witness to the event
money was never better spent
seeing people watch Blue Men
who had never heard of them then
and given choice would have gone to see Bon Jovi
it was strange, thats why it was liked
and the whole night I was psyched
it was all conceptual bliss
and when I got a kiss
from a Blue Man I knew it was heaven
We got on the bus and then traveled
and a few began to unravel
from their experience and alcoholic fun
we kept drinking until it was dawn
but I didn't sleep on the lawn
and then I exclaimed as I drove out of sight
"Too bad I don't work with these guys!"
