Hello Sweet P, Pata-Hari, or any of the other silly names I've called you:
I will miss our near-weekly talks. Our shared kitty stories and stories of the bizarre happenings on our planet. Things like bootleg Ethiopian CDs and paper shredders made by unknown companies seem so distant now even tho they were last week's hot topic. I tried to assure you that things would be alright. You left in such a hurry during such difficult times and I hope that I'm not as wrong about all of our futures here - maybe things are still alright kiddo. I've gotten out of bed in order to write this note to you. Deja was sleeping particularly snug tonight - right up close against me as if to let me know that she understands what has happened, but, I ask: what of her other friends? Regrets? Yes...I wish I could've gotten that video of Deja to you - running thru the house as I chased her with the camera - you asked "where's my video?", but technology failed me and with a new computer this week, I thought that I'd just burn and send it in the mail instead of online, but alas... ...I'm sorry, too, that you won't get a chance to listen to that screwy, silly Xmas CD I made for you... ...and thank you for the Italian art project info (and your confidence) - again, technology failed me (i wonder what this is telling me?)...you sent me a copy of your submission and I told you to look for mine when you get the project from Italy this month - my blabbering some nonsense about my treating every composition as the Buddha and not keeping a copy (it was true, dear...). Maybe we can get Junior to send out your postcards to folks on the F-List? ...but all of this doesn't mean a thing when placed next to your sweetness and generosity.
