Fluxus outright, especially "let" and "for*" expressions with the outer
brackets of the defining list forgotten by novice schemers. I feel crashing
there was a bug in plt 4.1.x that unbalanced parentheses resulted in a 
crash. (http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.lisp.scheme.plt/29781)
it was fixed in newer versions. if you are using this plt version, this 
could be the explanation.
