Hi Robert,
DWG is a file-based format (as opposed to directory-based). When you
create a destination dataset for DWG, this is specifying the dwg file
that contains all of the outputs. When you create output feature types
for your DWG dataset, you are actually creating layers. When the
workbench runs, layers will be automatically created using the names of
these feature types.

Subject: [fme] SHP to DWG
FME users,
I'm trying to create a DWG file with multiple layers. I have no way to
create a template DWG and I've seen reference to "DWG_AUTO_CREATE_LAYERS
yes". And I can't seem to figure out how to use it in the Workbench.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I don't see any option
under properties of the DWG writer and I've tried entering it into the
Header File with no success.
Thanks,
Robert
