Nicholas,
the script does two functions:
1. if you press continue, you remain in Preview Mode
2. if you press cancel, you are transferred to Browse Mode
the script does not remember anything after that.
When you are in Preview Mode, you cannot press a button to activate a
script. However, you can select the script if it is available in the
drop-down menu. Make text or image button and assign the script and
utilize in Browse Mode. If you must perform the script while in Preview
Mode, have it available in the scripts drop-down menu.

In my script I have an "Enter Preview Mode [Pause]" script statement. This
puts up Continue / Cancel options in the left panel. If I go into the
Browse view and come back to the Preview screen, the two options no longer
appear and I cannot get back to my script.
