Hi,

Our online registration system has been in place over a year. It's on colocated
FMS8 on Windows server. Web interaction by Lasso (8.5). Some basic queries
(Inlines) have used an unstored calc field to find date (from event record to a
lines table that assembles the set of dates the event uses). It was simply to
find start date by using Min(date) across the tables. Worked fine til
yesterday. Suddenly we couldn't get SOME unstored calcs to work for queries,
even though Lasso reported the data fine. Our workarounds for now (since we
don't have time to rebuild the data structures) is to use the unstored calc
results as conditionals in presenting data rather than in the original searches.

The only documentation I found says that FM9 solves the problem (finds inside
FM client do not work either) by simply opening the file. I was able to get the
fields working reliably by doing that, but only locally, not over the network.
The problem is finds not giving reliable results in some unstored calc fields.
Some do work reliably. It seems that more "direct" ones like isValid() work and
ones that involve summarizing or calculating do not (Sum(), Count()). Any
additional info or guidance? Any idea why it would suddenly fail after a year
of working fine? Thanks for any insight.
