I'll just chime in that I'm using zippScript with great results. It's
free, too.

I think I missed the first part of this thread ... but on a Mac you
can do that with the AppleScript "do script" command. Or you could
do it with a plugin (eg, zippScript, DoScript, ) if that's viable
for you.
Tim - thanks for the thought, but, no, that's not on for this job as
the target machines are all Windows, and there is no budget (or
desire on my part) for extra plug-ins - we want it to be all plain
vanilla FMP.
