I have a project to develop an 8.5 database and move the data from a 6.0
file. The old database was developed on and is maintained on a Mac system
The database is password protected and ordinarily allows only data updates.
They have the password to access layout view and I assume other functions
that are normally grayed out without the password. She says that when she
opens the database using the CMD key, it asks for the password but does not
display an account name as it does on a PC. She has the password but it
does not work on my PC because my account does not match. The client cannot
tell me what the account name is on the Mac and I have no Mac experience and
can't tell her how to find it. I won't be able to visit the client's site
for several weeks but would like to be able to access the database
beforehand. Can anyone tell me how to find the account or user name on a
Mac?

Thanks.

Charlie
