IP 127.0.0.1 is your own computer's IP. Is that the correct MySQL host?
Sounds like your host (that you are using ODBC for) is remote. If so, the IP
would be different.

So on my Mac (where the setup works fine) the DSN is set to use IP
address 127.0.0.1 (ie the local host) but port 13306 which is where
the SSH tunnel brings up port 3306 from the host server.
I have torn down and re-created the DSN on the Windows XP laptop
(where the setup worked once, but no longer does), but to no avail.
