If you check the "Allow creation of records via this relationship"
checkbox in the relationship dialog (on the portal table occurrence
side) you will get a blank row at the bottom of the portal into which
you can enter data for a new related record

This must be a dumb question, but I have been having a lot of
trouble with portals!
They don’t behave the way I expect!
