Greetings,
Is it just me? Or does anyone else notice this issue?
SITUATION: When double-clicking on blank lines or spaces in a text

BACKGROUND: When selecting blank lines or spaces between words
with punctuation or other-than-alphabetical/numeral, any
punctuation at the head of the selected area are selected as well.
If you delete the selected text you also lose the non-alphabetical/
numeric characters.
Chuck, I think this is an issue of Windows vs. Mac. In Windows,
double-clicking on a word gets you all the surrounding punctuation
as well. Drives me crazy, for the reasons you enumerate.
But it makes sense for an application program like FileMaker Pro to
hand off certain jobs (like "What day is it today?") to the
operating system, so the users get the behavior they're accustomed
to. This is probably one of them.
I'm running on Macs and it drives me crazy too. I think it's an
'undocumented feature' that needs to be corrected.

Chuck
