I am looking for a solution to add paperless faxing to a existing
client's solution. Here is what I am hoping for:
They generate reports in which a PDF version is uploaded on a FTP
server. They then fulfill request for the reports via fax, email, or
BOTH. We will be interfacing their solution via PHP for their web
site which should handle the email portion but still some people want
to receive faxes instead of having to go online.
This is what I was hoping for:
When a report is generated, we upload (FTP) 3 PDF versions: Web, Fax
(Color), Fax (B/W)
From the DB system, we generate the proper method:
Email method - generate a standard email with a notification (and
link) to retrieve the requested report at their website.
Fax method - Generate an email to a Web Fax Service with a document
link to the report uploaded on the FTP. The service would grab,
interpret, generate, and send the fax.
Anyone using such a method or service. I would appreciate any feedback.
