"building the stylesheet" also requires *knowing your field and export order. Are there related/repeating fields? These are handled differently. The "standards" are the schema for the Garmin to import and FMP to export. Mostly, the XSLT is a 'mapping' between the two.

Beverly - sorry, I hadn't engaged brain fully before sending. I guess I'm looking for a matched pair of FMP file + XSLT stylesheet which provides the basics, that I can then munge to my own needs. It does begin to sound like "no such animal" is the answer.

I read your book some time ago, and learned from it how to do some fancy RTF exporting via XSLT. That is in regular use and saves a huge amount of manual formatting for a particular publication, but I'm out of practice again with the nuts and bolts of how I did it!
