Doing a Find Plus a Little More

I have a client who runs a wedding-planning consultancy. I've got her  
"Vendors" data-entry screen set up so that all the generic  
information (business name, contact name, address, etc.) is on the  
left side of the screen, while the right side is occupied by a bunch  
of tab controls (venues, facilities, beauty shops, bridal shops,  
florists, photographers, etc.), each of which contains info peculiar  
to that type of vendor.

She usually wants to do a Find for a particular vendor type. After  
entering Find mode, she selects the vendor type from the drop-down  
list in that field and hits Enter.

What I'd like to do, in addition to that, is capture the vendor type  
she's searching for and use that info to bring the appropriate tab  
control to the front. But I'm danged if I can figure out how to get a  
grip on it from Find mode. Any hints?
