Recently I posted a question on FM Forum, asking if any FM versions (esp. 7 and 9) will run on Windows Vista 64-bit edition. As a novice, the answers (below) left me uncertain about choosing a 64-bit OS for a computer to replace my aged PC. I have been told separately that FM would just run as a 32-bit application within the 64-bit framework.

FileMaker, Inc. does not officially support the products listed on a 64-bit Windows platform." The current version is FileMaker Pro 10, so any 64-bit testing would most likely not occur with previous versions.
