This is a repeat posting, as I've seen no reply and fear the original may have gone astray.

Recently I posted a question on FM Forum, asking if any FM versions (esp. 7 and 9) will run on Windows Vista 64-bit edition. As a novice, the answers (below) left me uncertain about choosing a 64-bit OS for a computer to replace my aged PC. I have been told separately that FM would just run as a 32-bit application within the 64-bit framework. Comments from this group would be welcome. Al Brookes Shoreline WA -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >From Knowledge Base Article #5587: "FileMaker Pro and FileMaker PRo Advanced have not been tested on Windows XP or Windows Vista 64 bit Edition. FileMaker, Inc. does not officially support the products listed on a 64-bit Windows platform." The current version is FileMaker Pro 10, so any 64-bit testing would most likely not occur with previous versions. TSGal, FileMaker, Inc. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My understanding is that the application needs to be rewritten for 64-bit compatibility. So I would not expect testing any time soon. David Head FileMaker 7/8/9 Certified Developer FileMaker 9 & 10 Authorised Trainer uLearnIT
