Your sampling of street_numbers... do all five have the same street_name? Because otherwise you would not expect to see the second field in the sort order have any affect.

Chad

Perhaps I’m doing something wrong with a simple sort to obtain a typical list of two common address fields.

Sort Order:

street_name (text)
street_number (numeric)

Results... The street_name appears to fall in ascending order, however, a sample of ascending street_number falls like this:

3199
3223
3233
2590
3101

I’ve get the same results whether the street_number is text or numeric with the same data. I ruled out extra characters and spaces.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Steve
