Which brings us to ... no, no, not the FileMaker Pro suggestion
box ... NEW VERSIONS! FMI is famously (notoriously?) secretive about
these, which just adds to the fun for people like me.
FMI has a long history of releasing new versions early in the
calendar year. That schedule got thrown a bit off track a couple of
years back due to a major upgrade to an operating system which shall
remain nameless, but they seem to have fallen back into their normal
pattern of late.
Versions 7, 8, 8.5, 9, and 10 all rely on the ".FP7" file structure,
which is half a decade old (70 in computer years, which are double
dog years).
You see where I'm heading with this.
Anybody got any juicy rumors? Or even, unlikely as it seems, hard
facts?
