Also watch for accounts and passwords. Eg. the password "adm...@!" will
become account"adm...@!" with password "adm...@!".
see. http://www.filemaker.com/help/html/fmp_basics.3.17.html#1028173

The files in a complex solution will likely open slowly due to File Reference
issues, so be patient. Then go into Manage: ExternalDataSources in each file
and clean them up.
Ideally remote (WAN) files will show up as fmnet:/162.168.10.22/Menu while
local files (LAN) on FMServer will show up as file:Menu. You may see many
other paths preceding those - the slowness with FMP 10 opens is each file
trying every path from the first one down. I have seen 6 or 7 at times - every
different development environment the files have been through prior to final
deploy. One must admire the Filemaker applications enthusiasm for diligently
trying to go down the old paths. We were once working on a system that had
been zipped and FTP'd to Calgary. One file was missing from the ZIP, but FMP3
found it via the network in Houston. We purged data prior to testing...phones
starting ringing...

If your solution is complex I can highly recommend MetaDataMagic -
http://www.newmillennium.com/index.php?src=directory&view=products&srctype=display&id=10.
Runs $200 to $700 USD (depends on the number of files you need to do) but is
worth it in a complex solution. They have also a conversion analysis tool that
is a gem.
