I've finally decided to upgrade from FMP 6 to version 10 as my version 6 is getting contrary under Snow Leopard. Can someone point me to what I need to know to change my current version 6 files into version 10 files

Charlie - I found that a number of calculations in my files were returning different results after the change from FMP6 to later versions. In particular the LeftWords(), MiddleWords() & RightWords() functions treat word delimiters differently, with behaviour modified by context. This makes them (for my purposes) largely useless and I had to re-write a number of string parsing methods broken by that change.

It's worthwhile checking that all your calculated fields, and calculations in scripts, still work as you expected. There have been other changes over time to the way calculations work (although I can't remember any of them offhand), and like the above example they do not seem to have been well-advertised by FMI at the time and gave me considerable work to track down and fix.

However, most of the issues are now fairly well-documented. Mind you, I think FMI is not expecting to cater much nowadays for folk upgrading from v6 so you may have to hunt around a bit to find relevant info.
