Peter Appletalk was removed from 10.6. Here's some tips - http://theappleblog.com/2009/09/04/how-to-resurrect-your-appletalk-printer-in-snow-leopard/ My guess is that you'll need to add the printer again - I lost about a dozen of mine after the 10.6 update - and then confirm your script step for printing. You can also get another older machine to share the printer and print to that.
