Hi Everyone! - here's a bulletin of what's going on in the wonderful world of Thoughtful Foods. From now on I'll try to send one of these every week to keep everyone up to date, in this format. If you want me to put anything in one of these bulletins, please email it to me to either this address or [EMAIL PROTECTED]
1. Signage 2. Veggies Update 3. Roster Crisis! 4. Zine/newsletter 5. Beanies 7. Blitz article 6. Next Meeting ---------------------------- 1. Signage Basically- we're getting signs soon. I confirmed the design of the signs the uni has agreed to make for us about a week ago, and they are on the top of the list of things to be done. Thanks to our lovely signage savior in Facilities- Ricardo (he's been on holidays for a while so they took a bit longer than expected). ----------------------------- 2. Veggies Update Veggies are still going strong on Thursdays as per usual- thanks to Bri, Rob and the other helpers. There is a now a co-op happening being us and UTS, so that we can both get the best selection of fresh organic veggies and spread the workload a bit better. Contact Bri if you have any questions regarding veggies - 0401 452 470 ------------------------------ 3. Roster Crisis! The roster is look REALLY BARE. If anyone can put themselves down for an hour in the shop, I urge you all to do so- especially on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I've put a sign up on the door to ask people to note down if we were shut when they wanted to shop, and I'll send out the results for that in the next bulletin. ------------------------------- 4. Zine/newsletter It will happen, but like a finely aged wine, things happen slowly in Thoughtful Foods. If you have any bright ideas for either of the above, or wish to contribute anything, contact me, Bri or Monika. My email is [EMAIL PROTECTED], or simply leave it in our pigeon holes behind the c ounter at the shop. What better way to spend a cold Autumn evening than writing something creative for your co-op? ------------------------------- 5. Beanies There are wonderful beanies made by Alison in the shop now! Come in a take a look. If anyone else is intersted in doing some cottage industries, please contact me [EMAIL PROTECTED] We'd love to have you! ------------------------------- 6. Blitz article We're going to be in Blitz really soon! In the 'How to' section as : 'How to find Thoughtful Foods'. Thanks to the editor Ben for thinking of the page and taking a pic for us, and thanks to Bron who had to suffer a picture being taken of her in the middle of palm leaves, in the cold and rain. You're a darling! ------------------------------- 7. Next Meeting The next meeting of the co-op exec (and anyone else interested) is scheduled for next Wednesday, the 25th of May, at 5.15pm in the shop. If it's really cold, we can head next door into the bar. I'd like to make meetings a really effective time, but also a time where we can get together- instead of simply passing eachother like ships in the night. So come along! I will shout everyone some snacks, and we can make some herbal tea :) Peace, love and good vibes... * gem * "You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat."
