With Adobe's default fonts such as Helvetica and PS fonts, fulltext search is supported, with TT fonts it's not. When you search for a keyword, you will get no hits though you might see the keyword right on the screen.
This is a known problem, and I dont believe there is a work around. I couldnt remember the exact technical reason, but a quick search of the archives revealed it:
