Like the others, I am all for standardization. Double clic is more consistant in my opinion. While single clic is perhaps more convenient ease-wise, it sometimes can become a bit tiresome when you have an application popping up in view without your wanting it (for instance if you activated the "Hide inactive icons" option, an accidental clic happens more often than not).
