Hi, I have had the same problem when install IE8. And try to do the same 3-[ and of course I had the same result. Thus just re-install IE8 and after that continue read this post.

Adding these variables solved my problem On my computer, the problem can easily be reproducted by creating an empty js file in the "Program Files\PSPad editor\Script\JScript" folder.
