OK. You want to don't display '..' when you are in the FTP root folder. But PSPad (or any client) doesn't know it! It can know it only when you try to go up and you don't change folder.
In FTP server you can define start directory for user. It's different from user root directory. How can FTP client recognize that this directory is root directory? Only idea is: you click on '..' PSPad will change folder to '..' PSPad will change folder to '..' again (to know if it can access it) and back to previous folder. Then FTP client is able to display or not '..' in directory listing -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?4,46532,50682> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
