One last thing on #2, Win2K has a better & faster & secure file system called NTFS.
It which supports files larger than 1GB. Instead of compressing the drive, individual
folders may have compression on, or off. (useful for just my text document drawer).
True network shares which allow you to have different users logged in & give them
access to specific drawers on your HD. And on and on...

| First I would like to thank everyone for the suggestions and knowledge. This
| has however raised a couple of questions...
|
| 1. Is a dual processor system really worth the extra $. (aren't I a good
| employee!)
|
| 2. Why is 99SE more stable under Win2K/NT as opposed to Win9x?
|
| 3. Does anyone use a pointer other than a mouse? (i.e.: tablet) and how does
| 99SE handle it?
|
| Once again, thanks for all the help. It's great that a beginner can access
| people of experience from around the world and use their knowledge to better
| understand the tools of his/her chosen career.
|
| How did anyone productively use these software packages before e-mail? :)
