i agree as well, my first board was all over the place with about 300
components, and i still hear about it to this day.  (i never forget to
re-annotate now)

Very well put, I was about to write a similar reply because it's also MHO.

Also if any hand assembly is involved the assembly crew will love you for
making their job easier.
