Tim,
        the simple answer to your problem should be the use of the Short
Circuit Constraint rule under the "Other" tab in the design rules. However,
the last time any of us tried it (SP5 I believe) it didn't work.
        So the only other option open is to use the virtual shorting jumper
a described by Abd ul-Rahman many times. You can find the description of
this methodology in the FAQ sheet in one of the Yahoo Protel groups sites. I
don't actually use this process so I would probably hack it to death if I
tried to describe it to you.
