Here are some important updates you all would be interested in: 1. A newsletter will be published during SFD 08. Please send relevant articles/write ups, pictures, links and other information/material like how-tos, faqs, migration guides, personal stories etc. 2. T-shirt for SFD 08 needs to be finalized asap. If you have any suggestions regarding the same, please send message(s) to this list. 3. Please read the meeting notes posted above. The theme for SFD has been decided. But a catch-phrase or slogan is yet to be decided. Suggestions for such catch-phrases prominently included words like "prasfutan" (प्रस्फुटन), "freedom", "knowledge", "creation", "sharing." A proper catch phrase that includes these words will be selected by discussing in the mailing list. Please give your valuable inputs. 4. An event "Free or Freeze" will be organized during SFD celebration. Please see the above link for more. Where (location) and how long (duration) to freeze couldn't be decided by the meeting. Similarly, whether or not to block the vehicular traffic during the event was also not decided. These issues will be finalized after discussing in the mailing list. Please start discussing on this subject too. 5. CAN Lumbini Expo is scheduled for this Friday (29th August) and a volunteer from FOSS Nepal is expected to be accompany the CAN members to Lumbini for the event. If anybody is interested to join the trip, let the list know.
