Of the 23,054 package Makefiles in the FreeBSD ports tree, only 1732 use any of the autotools (most of those seem to be libtool), and of those, 1165 need further patching(*). <mike Those are *very* rough numbers, based on checking for the USE_AUTOTOOLS variable in the Makefiles and whether or not the port has a files directory (which holds patches).
