NFS is not needed to reproduce this. Simultaneous parallel cloning via ssh from one file is giving me this every single time.
Could it be an OS dependency? I'm on SuSe Linux (SLES11). I downloaded the binary from fossil-scm.org and tested again and get exactly the same issue. I do happen to be cloning from and to the same host.
